What is the difference between D.D. and D.D.S.?

Answer:
Dentists in the United States can be either DDS or DMDs.DDS = Doctor of Dental Surgery.
DMD = Doctor of Dental Medicine.DDS and DMD are the same degree. Just different letters. Both are dentists.Hope this helps.
DDS usually means a dentist qualified to write a script.DD? in my office that means disc degeneration. But on internet, it looks theological, like some type of doctrine specialist, in some sort of religion.
D.D.S. is a doctor of dental surgeryD.D. is a doctor of divinity (for example: a pastor)
