What major do you have to pick if you want to be a dentist?

I mean like what is the course that you need to take in college.
Answer:
Most Dental schools do not require that you complete an Undergrad. Major to be accepted. You must just complete the entrance course requirements. My husband studied Genetics but didn't finish his Undergraduate Major before being accepted to Dental school. Majors in the Sciences are your best bet if you plan to complete an Undergrad. Degree first as they also cover most of the Dental school requirements. It's "killing 2 birds with 1 stone", basically. Decide on some Dental schools that you are interested in and check online to see if they have a list of required courses posted. If not, write and ask for an admissions packet from them. It will list the requirements. Good luck!
I would assume biology would be the most useful
HELLO,
WHILE THERE ARE NO MAJORS REQUIRED FOR DENTISTRY A STRONG BIOLOGY BACKGROUND IS A SOUND PLACE TO START.
WHILE IN DENTAL SCHOOL THERE WILL BE MANY COURSES FOR WHICH A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF SCIENCE IS NEEDED.
As a dentist, dental school have no requirements on majors, like mines is Computer Science, as long as you take Pre-Dental Courses
