Ice Cream
ice cream
Pudding.
You will have to eat really soft stuff like mashed potatoes, soup, ice cream.
icecream, yogart , and NoT solid food?
ice cream, pudding, jello, anything soft will work..
Well whatever you can chew. Go for the softer foods.(muffins, mashed potatoes, applesauce, yogurt, scrambled eggs, maybe meat loaf. If you feel you are not getting enough nutrients try some protein shakes and take some vitamins too. Good luck. =)
I'm still coping with having to eat soft foods after my extractions. The swelling went down to normal, but until I get
some bridges or false teeth, I still have to maintain a soft
food diet. So this is what I'm doing.
For breakfast, make soft scrambled eggs with American
cheese whipped into the bowl. Then pour into the frying pan
and stir quickly so they won't stick. The cheese will make them really soft and tastier. You can eat toast, if you toast it
lightly and tear pieces off to chew with your front teeth. Drinking a hot drink like tea or coffee with saturate the bread
to keep you from having to chew or bite much.
Also make Cream of Wheat, Malto Meal, or Oatmeal. Not
much chewing required with those.
Lunch is tuna on bread and a cup of soup. Or a pasta
entree from the frozen food dept. I've had alot of those. You
can use the blender to pulverize alot of meat things. Do that
and make up skillet pasta meals adding tomato sauce or
creamed soups and a bit of water to cover the noodles and cook til the noodles are tender and the water is absorbed.
TV dinner entrees have alot of 'meats' that are patties and
easy to gum to death LOL. I suspect they aren't all meat any-
way. Mac and cheese is also a safe bet. Just cook the
noodles past al dente and make them soft or mushy before
draining the water off and adding real cheese after using the
dried package of seasoning and milk. The more cheese,
the tastier the noodles. You can try spaghetti also, just over-
cook the noodles and use less meat in the sauce. Maybe
just using the prepared jar sauces will do.
You will want a varied menu as the soup or jello route will be boring before you know it, and you'll need more energy also. So just pulverize with your blender with alot of meats. Make lots of pasta or rice meals. Buy frozen foods that only have to be heated through, and you'll get through the swelling period in no time.
Scrambled eggs, mashed potates, jello, ice cream, pudding, soup, peanur butter, bread, anything very soft
